"An idea is our visual reaction to something seen - in real life, in our
memory, in our imagination, in our dreams."

Drawing a sequel
The second grade students read Aki and the Fox by Japanese author, Akiko Hayashi, and they created drawings to show a sequel to the story. Students learned how to draw the basic shape of Kon, one of the main characters, and they used their imaginations to paint a setting for Kon. They also learned that art can tell a story. Can you identify where Kon is and what he is doing in the sequels below?
These are amazing paintings by second-graders! Kon had a very busy day! Mrs. Eshelman is a wonderful art teacher!
